Mgr. Pavel Zahradníček, Ph.D. is a researcher at the Global Change Research Institute – CzechGlobe
and Czech Hydrometeorological Institute. He participates in the intersucho project and warning
systems against wild fires (www.firerisk.cz). Collaborates on past, present and future climate
analyses (www.klimatickazmena.cz). It also deals specifically with the topic of the Urban Heat Island.
